Purely delightful watching this episode. Its one the entire family can enjoy. The Ingalls in their circle of Christmas cheer and holiday secrets had me AND my children smiling to the very end.

Sweet story of an Ingalls family Christmas
Rating Point :5 Helpful Point :2
I grew up watching the Little House series, and I recently purchased this episode. This story illustrates the Ingalls first Christmas at Plum Creek. It shows how each family member finds a special way to give a gift without a lot of money, even having to make big sacrifices and be a little sneaky keeping secrets. The story is very touching and really captures the holiday spirit in the Ingalls family. I love it and will pull it out every Christmas.
Christmas spirit is written all over this video
Rating Point :5 Helpful Point :14
If you want Christmas spirit, look no further than "Christmas at Plum Creek." This is a beautiful video with a good message. The entire Ingalls family is struggling to provide their fellow family members with good Christmas gifts, and they end up doing just that by working energetically and making substantial sacrifices. The sacrifice that young Laura makes for her beloved Ma is one that will melt your heart and bring you to embrace the true meaning of Christmas. Melissa Gilbert and Michael Landon deliver wonderful performances, just like always. Buy it, youll be glad u did, its a wonderful story that has everything about Christmas that is important tied in with it.

Worth a buy if you already own IT, Vegas, and Bittersweet, and just want another Phish DVD, but Id get those other 3 first. The back of the package and the writeups on this thing make a big deal of this huge thunderstorm that passes over during the show, but the DVD doesnt actually show any sign of it, other than some wet people dancing during the 2nd set. Pretty decent mid-90s Phish, but nothing special.
    The best Phish DVD?
Rating Point :4 Helpful Point :3
"Walnut Creek" delivers a very satisfying live show from July 22, 1997. The first set opens with a predictable but very enjoyable Runaway Jim. Water in the Sky is one of the shows surprises. This is not the typical rock version, but the heart-felt country rendition. In contrast, Vultures is as rockin as ever. With only one stinker (Fishmans Bye Bye Foot) and one B-list selection (My Soul), its a strong first set. This set is packed with lots of phan favorites including Stash and Bouncin. The set closes with a stellar Taste. The band really cooks on this tune and it stands as one of the shows highlights. If the first set was strong, it is eclipsed by the second set. A twenty minute Down with Disease shows the band doing what they did best and enjoying themselves. The improvisational part starts with a driving jam that blends into a spacey improvisation and finishes with a bluesy clap-along. Down with Disease has a million dollar transition into Mikes Song. From here on out, "Walnut Creek" shows a fantastic retelling of the Mikes Song > Simple > I Am Hydrogen > Weekapaug Groove cluster. Filled with all sorts of mini-jams, this cluster of tunes is the sort of wide open musical sea that enabled Phish to really swim their best. Afterwards, Hello My Baby is a welcome a capella selection. When The Circus Comes is the only B-list song in the set as the group finishes with an enjoyable Harry Hood. Packed with a few blockbusters, an a capella tune, a Fishman song and some surprises along the way, this show really delivers. "Walnut Creek" may just remind you of why you fell in love with Phish in the first place. The audio quality for "Walnut Creek" is fantastic. Recreating a concert experience, the 5.1 surround mix puts the band in the front of the room and the audience and an echo of the music is heard from the rear. The camera work is simple and effective. All shots are taken from the stage, so the viewer never sees what the band looked like from audiences perspective. At times, this gives a claustrophobic feel, but this drawback is very minor. So is this Phishs best DVD? Given the existing offering, this may be. "Live in Vegas" and "Live in Brooklyn" were both lukewarm concerts "Bittersweet Motel" and "It" were documentaries rather than live shows. Compared to these other DVDs, "Walnut Creek" is the most modestly produced, but consistently strong. There are better shows out there and in the end, July 22, 1997 may have been an average night for Phish. Lets just remember that on such a so called average night, Phish was still brilliant enough to outshine everything else.
    Great for what it is
Rating Point :4 Helpful Point :5
To respond to the previous viewer, it isnt a coincidence that the band released a show from summer rather than 11/22, or any other date on the fall tour. Summer shows at outdoor amphitheaters usually involve extra video production to feed to those large screens usually beside the stage. You dont get that at Phishs indoor shows.

I wont attempt a song-by-song review since thats so, so subjective. Everyone has not only their favorite songs, but often their favorite arrangements of songs, or their favorite jam elements. Suffice to say that this is easily, very easily, the best performance so far that Phish has released in its entirety - the IT DVD is more of a retrospective than a live show, in my opinion. No disrespect to the folks that enjoy Brooklyn, Vegas, or Woodbury (google it if its not ringing any bells), but this, at last, is something that captures the band on their game.

And capture the band it does. Because the video is taken from those projection screens, it features many, many close shots. Thats the point of those screens - to bring the band members closer. You dont watch a video screen to see the stage show when youve got the actual stage in front of you :) Which is a roundabout way of saying that Kuroda fans may be disappointed. You can sort of get a sense for what was going on . . . but not really. You dont get any lightning shots, and you dont get those fantastic, sweeping crowd shots like those on the IT DVDs.

Theres no mistaking the fact that this is a bare bones release. Right down to the bare-bones price. For what youll pay for this, and what youll get, it seems ridiculous to complain. And Im not complaining. This is a 100% must-have release. Just dont expect it to be some grand production. Its a chance to view some very well-preserved stage presentation video, which is a treat in itself, but it obviously wasnt filmed with the intention of releasing it commercially.

My take? Just be glad they did.

    Biblical Letdown
Rating Point :3 Helpful Point :0
I own my share of Phish DVDs, but when I heard about this I figured I had to spend the money for Walnut Creek.
    Why?
Because I was sold on the description in which "a thunderstorm of biblical proportion pssed directly over the venue during the show, letting loose a torrential downpour of rain, thunder and lightning." The cover shows the crowd from a stage view, with the ominous clouds building over head. This, I figured, was just something that needed to be seen. Imagine being there...run for cover? Defy the gods and hold your ground, cause the band aint stopping their playing?
I watched the first DVD, found the music satisfying and waited for the storm. I popped in the second DVD, still found the show rather satisfying and kept waiting for the sky to open. At one point, Page is in the middle of a solo, appears startled by something, quickly looks over his shoulder and then resumes playing.
The show ends and I think, ah-ha....it comes during the encore...wow.
And then the encore was over and off they went.
No rain as far as I could see, let alone anyone really wet, no bolts of lightening, no claps of thunder to add to the sound and scare the bejesus out of anyone. Just Page looking over his shoulder - once.
As for the show, three stars. As for the storm of biblical proportion, zero.
Bare-bones DVD, the performance speaks for itself
Rating Point :4 Helpful Point :5
The latest concert DVD from Phish adds a visual dimension to one of the bands more well-known performances that, for many fans, had previously only been heard through unofficial recordings. Summer 1997 showed a lot of change in Phish and this performance is a good example of just how.

The DVD set itself is packaged in a slim, folding case rather than the snapping kind. Inside the front cover is the list of songs for each disc, as well as writing, recording, and other production credits. No inserts to read, statements from band members or friends, or anything similar.

Each disc has only two selections from the main menu - play the songs (play all or select a tune) or change audio options (default is 5.1 Dolby Surround, can be changed to PCM Stereo). Both discs also start out with the band already onstage, about to play the music. This release is clearly about the performances and no other "frills" that many bands tend to add.

    Now, onto the content!

"Runaway Jim" is well-done, some good improv all around. They flow right into "My Soul" and play it solidly, though not too differently than they normally did around that time. Around then, it starts raining outside (although you cant tell from the concert aside from the song choice and background provided), and the band must have noticed, since the next song played is "Water in the Sky." Good, but not particularly exciting. "Stash" follows. Good version. This has some exciting parts, mostly toward the end of it. Then a usual "Bouncing Around the Room." "Vultures" is a cool rarity that Im glad was a part of this concert. This is a nice one. Bye Bye Foot, while containing tease of Pink Floyds "Mother" solo, is pretty uneventful.

"Taste" is where things really pick up. The weather has gotten much worse at this point, with a particularly loud crash of thunder sounding as Page is playing the first solo. The band increases the songs energy a lot as they continue along, with Chris Kuroda holding nothing back for the light show. Phish ends the first set early after this due to the thunder, but at least they ended very strongly.

Set 2 is far more interesting and fun than the first. There is much more happening, lots of energy, very tight. "Down with Disease" packs a real punch at about 20 minutes in length. The main jams structure gets pretty spacey and loose, and Trey and Page use lots of effects to create a very laid-back atmosphere. Then the band sneaks up, slowly launching into "Mikes Song." The segue is like none before or since and one of the highlights of the evening - one of the reasons this performance gained so much fame. "Mikes Song" has great moments, lots of energy, and goes straight into "Simple." One of the more amusing moments shows a sign language interpreter looking up at the band and signing as they sing. When the lyrics go to "skyballs and saxscrapers," he makes a few signs but looks generally completely lost as to what he should do. "Simple" fades out an goes into "I Am Hydrogen," which is standard and is followed by "Weekapaug Groove." Its a great version, with a few twists and lots of energy.

Once the song ends, the band FINALLY gets to relax for more than a few moments since they had played everything straight since beginning the set. Understandably, they decide to to an a cappella number: "Hello My Baby." Now, Phish wasnt known for their impeccable singing, but they did do well sometimes. Fortunately this is one of their better times. Its a nice change to see them all at the front of the stage it is a more personal element of the concert.

This is where the second set ends, but the DVD edits out the encore break and takes us straight to "When the Circus Comes to Town." A good version, but the real treat is the finale - "Harry Hood." The lights to this one are synchronized in a very cool way and are a nice treat. This builds up intensity very well as usual, is quite beautiful, and really lets the viewer "feel good about Hood!"

The only thing keeping my rating from 5-stars is the bulk of the first set. Disc two definitely helps out, and will be the source of most of my viewing (how about a DVD of 11/22/97? Theres an instant 5-star!). Also, in Down with Disease, Trey flubbed a chord then quickly corrected it, but it sounds as though the mistake was edited out for the DVD. I dont believe any other audio was edited like that, and its not a egregious offense, but I know there are some people who would get miffed at such edits.

Overall I definitely recommend getting this DVD. Its all about the music, and although the first disc can get dull at points (aside from "Runaway Jim" and "Taste"), disc two is definitely worth the money.

The Wind Is My Mother The Life and Teachings of a Native American Shaman

    Studio: Berkley Trade
With eloquent simplicity, Bear Heart, a full-blooded and traditionally trained healer of the Muskogee Creek tribe, shares a lifetime of training. In sections titled "The Cure Lies Within You" and "Learning How To Live," Bear Heart weaves together anecdotes and philosophy to show how traditional tribal wisdom can help us maintain mental, spiritual and physical health in today's world. We journey with him from his initiation into the Muskogee Creek's "medicine ways" in 1938 (when he walked unharmed through a den of rattlesnakes) to his role as a respected elder and counselor whose gentle words spring from a lifetime of service. He describes the lessons learned in ceremonies conducted in the sweat lodge and the Native American Church; he explains why Native people pray with peyote and smoke the Sacred Pipe and how vision quests can bring clarity and personal revelation. Throughout, Bear Heart's teachings stress the importance of self-knowledge, integrity, and being open to the guidance of the Great Spirit. Through inspiring stories and examples, he teaches us how to live.

    Studio: Louisiana State University Press
In the years following the War of 1812, Battle of New Orleans hero General Andrew Jackson became a power unto himself. Having earlier gained national acclaim and a military promotion upon successfully leading the West Tennessee militia in the Creek War of 1813-1814, Jackson furthered his fame in the First Seminole War in 1818, which led to his invasion of Spanish West Florida without presidential or congressional authorization and to the execution of two British subjects. In Old Hickory's War, David and Jeanne Heidler present an iconoclastic interpretation of the political, military, and ethnic complexities of Jackson's involvement in those two historic episodes. Their exciting narrative shows how the general's unpredictable behavior and determination to achieve his goals, combined with a timid administration headed by James Monroe, brought the United States to the brink of an international crisis in 1818 and sparked the longest congressional debate of the period.

Iron & Wine is Sam Beam, a back-porch Florida singer-songwriter whose sad little songs pack a helluva wallop. Beams immediately likable tunes paint such clear pictures that songs like "Southern Anthem" and "Muddy Hymnal" are more akin to short stories by Raymond Carver and Flannery OConnor than to your average pop ditty. Recorded in his living room on a vintage four-track, The Creek Drank the Cradle co-stars cassette hiss, ambient room sound, and Beam himself. A stripped-down, one-man band, Beam contributes delicious Delta-flavored slide guitar, passable banjo, and deliriously beautiful harmonizing. Beam isnt just a songwriter the equal of Will Oldham and Leonard Cohen (really--and itll be a surprise if folks dont immediately start covering him), the boy can sing. His melt-in-your-head-but-not-in-your-ears voice is instantly recognizable and will certainly please fans of Nick Drake, Lou Barlow, and Elliott Smith. --Mike McGonigal

Sam Beam creates music so hushed, subdued and quaint that its very easy to imagine listening to it and have it float right by without a fuss. Theres no doubt that he has the talent for crafting hooks and reeling in his audience with quiet deception, but when you create an album of nothing but soft vocals, banjo and slide guitar, a big arena sound is not what youre going to get (and hurrah to him for that).

It requires a few listens to truly get into "Creek" (even while it grabs you early) but affection is not difficult for Beam to squeeze. A rootsy folk album, "Creek" excels at small pauses. The album as a whole follows almost the exact same pace, tone and volume. And even though variety may not have served this brand of music, a few changes here and there might have lifted an otherwise solid album towards the level of greatness. Instead, enjoy the muted "Faded From the Winter," the tight plucking of "The Rooster Moans," and gentle roar of "An Angry Blade." This debut may not shake the earth, but it does surprise in the sort of spare and whispery way that Beam can appreciate.

Best cuts: "The Rooster Moans," "An Angry Blade," "Faded From the Winter," "Weary Memory," "Upward Over the Mountain," "Southern Anthem," "Lions Mane"

All iron and wine albums have a crazy way of painting a beautiful masterpiece in the mind, with your eyes closed and fully focused on the music its almost like letting yourself get lost in your most beautiful dream. Upwards over the mountain, is an amazing song. I fell asleap after listening to it and it just sets me at so much peace. This album slows life down for you in a way that nothing else can.

Im not writing this as a practical, useful review, instead I just want to let the world know that for me this CD is a religious experience! Very few works of art in this world can bring one to both laughter and tears for me this CD is an artist representation of human life in all its experience, all its stages. This piece of art, along with only a few others, has impacted my life in a strong, almost magical way. If it can do that to one person, then I suspect its at least worth checking out. I know beauty is a subjective thing, yet so many people seem to agree on certain beautiful things. For me this is one of those beautiful things I simply cant understand not loving, despite knowing people out there will like this CD ever in their lifetimes. Its simply something i have to recommend to everyone. Please please listen, its worth every dime and a million more.
    Music to cope to
Rating Point :5 Helpful Point :0
This album is definitive of a certain emotion i have yet to find a name for melancholy is close, but implies sadness, while this album evokes a sort of existential happiness whenever i give it a listen. Beams whispers comfort me he creates pastoral, drifting music which helps me cope with the inevitability of demise. As macabre as many people may find the notion of nostalgic joy at the death of a loved one, this album would perfectly narrate a sunny autumn funeral for a close friend, relative, or, strangely enough, oneself. By juxtaposing happiness with hopelessness, Sam Beam has created a soundtrack for human existence.

It may seem odd to give an item a 5 star score when I only received 1 out of the 4 ordered but my experience with the owners of the Lost Creek Mushroom Farm was very satisfactory! I had tried to purchase logs from other sites but all were sold out - this was 2 weeks before Christmas. Found them here and ordered 4. Received 1, e mailed them, had a very fast and HONEST response stating that they truly overlooked the order for 4 and only shipped 1. That in itself was a treat in this day in age - they actually cared and asked that I call them as soon as possible. Because I only needed one right away for out of town guests that were here, I was ok with that. Lost Creek could have shipped the others out overnight and they offered to do so but I told them it was fine since the other receipients were away anyway and 1 was for my very own self! They arrived with complete instructions and a free gift with each along with an apology for missing the original shipping. I did not expect a stand or soaking tub as it was not listed as included. A bucket like most of us have around the house works well. I am happily waiting for mine to produce its first crop and the friends I gave them to are really excited over the gift. More than anything, I appreciate their honesty about the mistake and being overwhelmed with holiday orders. They were great to do business with and I would recommend them!
You decide if its a good value
Rating Point :3 Helpful Point :51
I had been looking to buy a mushroom log for several weeks. This log seemed like a good value compared to others I had seen listed on Amazon or other sites.
When the product arrived it seemed to me like it was missing several important things:
    1. Instructions on how to care for it or how to get the mushrooms to grow.
    2. A tray to soak the log in.

I noticed the Amazon product description didnt mention a soaking tray so I checked the vendor (Lost Creek Mushroom) site for product info. I found a description of the log that says The single log is 9-10" long but does not have a tray included. An economical way to start growing your own shiitake mushrooms or give as a gift.

Bottom line: It is economical but the lack of care instructions is a bit much...Im not going to ding them over the lack of soaking tray since the product description doesnt explicitly state that it includes a tray (so youll have to provide that which might cost you money depending on what you have available to use). But why doesnt it include care instructions?

The long-term significance of the household as a social and economic forceparticularly in relation to authority positions or institutionshas remained relatively unexplored in North American archaeology. Households and Hegemony makes a significant contribution to our understanding of the role households played in long-term cultural change after contact with European traders and settlers. Drawing together information from ethnohistoric records and data from one of the largest excavations in Alabama's history (the Fusihatchee Project), Cameron B. Wesson reexamines changes in early Creek culture from before and after contact with Europeans, beginning in the sixteenth century. Casting the household as a multifaceted cultural institution, he contends that important social, economic, and political transformations occurred during this timechanges that redefined the relationship between Creek households and authority. As avenues for exchange with outsiders broadened and diversified, prestige trade goods usually associated with Creek elites became increasingly available to individual households, so that contact with Europeans contributed to empowerment for Creek households and a weakening of traditional chiefly authority. Wesson demonstrates that change within Creek culture in the historic period was shaped by small-scale social units and individual decisions rather than by the effects of larger social and political events. Households and Hegemony enriches our understanding of Creek history and makes a key contribution to comparative archaeological models of cultural change.

I can only remember "Up The Creek" as being one of Tim Mathesons "take-the-check-&-run" jobs after portraying 60s ladies-man Eric "Otter" Straton in the smash "Animal House" when I caught this on late-nite AMC a few years back. This was just fated to be forever lost in the shadows of "Nerds" and "Porkys" during those halcyon days of 80s slob comedies....an OK time-waster, but not much else to write home about.

On a more praising note, Cheap Tricks wacky, eponymous theme song (penned by the inimitable Doc Nielsen, possibly while "high" according to him during one 1997 interview!) hits a tidal-wave of a homer! I recently picked up the Soundtrack after an near-exhaustive search on the web, and it was refreshing, exuberant ear candy to hear after 22 years! Even though Robin, Rick, Bun E, & Tom have long reviled this tune (as well as the complementary weird video thats still seared in my mind) as a major skeleton from their 80s closet, consider me guilty as charged for wanting to have this single in my Trickster collection for many, many moons. Sure, "Budokan", "Monster", or "Rockford" it aint...but it has all the zany heart my checkerboard chaps had then and especially now!!!

This is a great "Feel good" comedy because of all the elements the script possesses.
Theyre college students on a weekend retreat with goergeous girls, and many foes, including a river to conquer. This is a movie with no grown-up responsibilites, no chores, no jobs no pressure. Its a movie that reminds you of when life was really good, and when your fun was at its peak.
The characters are funny and have their quirks about them, just interesting enough without over doing it. Your sides wont split watching this film, but all the elements together makes it work.
If you like escaping your life for a nite and still have a VHS player, rent this one, it will remind you of The Best Years of Your Life.

    Petzl Tikka XP Head Lamp

    Petzl Tikka XP Head Lamp

    Product Description

Plenty of climbers, backpackers and campers think of energy-saving LED headlamps as a safer substitute for tent-bound candle lanterns, but Petzls Tikka XP shines new light on nocturnal potential beyond your tent and campsite. It features three lighting settings including a boost mode that illuminates up to 55 yards or so depending on the light-reflection properties of the surrounding terrain (wet black rocks always seem to steal some from any manufacturers claim). While boost mode is an energy-saving option (the three AAA batteries can last up to 120 hours), its a fairly practical feature when you think about how much time you spend looking at the ground directly in front of your feet while hiking or climbing in the pre-dawn and dusk hours. The power-saving economy mode is ideal for tent reading and sorting pack gear. A wide angle lens, tilt lamp and superb water resistance are standard features. The battery life indicator reminds you when the batteries are at 30% capacity and 10% capacity.

Snakes, tarantulas, scorpions and larger creatures are out and about at night, so it is essential to see where one is stepping! This headlamp lights my way. I also like to use it coming home from any venue where the light is dim and I need to get back to my car. Not traditional uses, but really important ones. I think this would make a thoughtful gift.

Headlamps come in many shapes and forms. The Tikka XP is a bright, light weight headlamp. I like the feature of having a diffuser that slides over the spotlight. If you can find them, purchase the colored diffusers. I replaced the clear one that came with the Tikka XP, with a red diffuser. This is a great feature at night as it allows you to see your surrounding clearly, without significantly impacting your night vision.

Please note: if you intend on using this with a bike, do not use the red diffuser, because the light is limited to about 10 feet.

Among the Creeks, they were known as Estelvste--black people--and they had lived among them since the days of the first Spanish entradas. They spoke the same language as the Creeks, ate the same foods, and shared kinship ties. Their only difference was the color of their skin. This book tells how people of African heritage came to blend their lives with those of their Indian neighbors and essentially became Creek themselves. Taking in the full historical sweep of African Americans among the Creeks, from the sixteenth century through Oklahoma statehood, Gary Zellar unfolds a narrative history of the many contributions these people made to Creek history.

  • Customer ReviewsGotta have the red filter

Terrific product for reading, camping - and particularly with the red filter for night fishing. Good Battery life and high level illumination.
    Flip-down feature very useful
Rating Point :5 Helpful Point :0
This headlamp is especially versatile because of the red filter that flips up or down. A red filter (for me at least) is easier on the eyes when reading or doing other indoor tasks at close range. This feature is easy to use while youre wearing the headlamp - much more convenient than separate colored filters you have to install.
    Will not ship to APO
Rating Point :1 Helpful Point :1
While this is a fine product, excellent military use in field conditions, it cannot be shipped to an APO in Afghanistan. Im not quite sure about the logic in not being able to ship to an APO for a serviceman or someone else serving in a warzone. Its a United States zip code, the military will deliver it from there. Its not a sensitive item in any way shape or form and its a sure bet that those receiving it will not be putting it into the hands of those seeking to do harm with it.

    Perfect for walking at night
Rating Point :5 Helpful Point :0
These make it so much easier to walk the dogs at night. Weve been using them for a year, they are very reliable. They are lightweight and comfortable. The white light is quite bright. The batteries last for months. The red filter is useful at twilight so my eyes arent blinded to the rest of the landscape. My neighbors have gotten used to us walking around with these bobbing lights, but at first, they were rather startled. One lady said we looked like UFOs!
    Protects your night vision
Rating Point :5 Helpful Point :0
Purchased as a replacement for a Rayovac with red & white LEDs, I was impressed from the moment I saw that DURACELL batteries were included.

The red lens is valuable for protecting night vision. This design is super...any of the 3 brightness levels (and blinking function) can be filtered by the red flip cover.

    Highly recommended without reservation.

    Customer ReviewsVery good mattress pad
Rating Point :5 Helpful Point :1
This mattress pad is exactly what I was expecting. I have a king mattress that is pretty thick (21" IIRC) and this thing fits perfectly and performs the function I needed - to keep the mattress itself clean and protected from stains/dirt/etc. I have not tried spilling any water or liquids on it, but since it is not designed to be waterproof, I doubt it would do much to protect against it. This thing is essentially a thicker, slightly padded, glorified fitted sheet, which is just what I needed.

I was originally a little worried that our new pillow top mattress would become "less soft" or feel any different than it did (we loved it as it was!). Luckily this mattress pad simply protects the mattress but did not change the comfort of the bed in our opinions.

I havent tried washing or drying this pad yet, so well see how it goes when that happens. Based on other reviews, Im thinking Ill air dry, or at least just tumble with no heat.

I definitely recommend this product, and I would definitely buy it again. I doubt it can be beat for the price.
    Excellent value
Rating Point :5 Helpful Point :1
Bought this for a new primary mattress, and was pleasantly surprised: this seemed plusher (more plush?) than other items in its price range. The skirts are good and deep to handle a thick mattress with a sizable pillow top.

Definitely feels better than the $20 I spent on it. Tumble dried on low, per other reviews, had no issues.

You get what you pay for.
Rating Point :2 Helpful Point :1
I purchased this Deluxe 100% Cotton Damask Stripe Mattress Pad thinking it would be a great bargain since the stated list price was $70 and the price I paid was only $21 but I found that you get what you pay for. The mattress pad is so thin and lightweight that its almost like putting a blanket beneath the sheet. I am disappointed with the flimsy pad but kept it anyway. Ill buy the next item like this in a store where I can actually feel the quality instead of just assume its a good one.
    nice

I wanted a mattress pad, but didnt want to pay a lot for one since you never see it. The fabric is very nice and soft. Fits my king-size bed perfect. Washes well. No problems with it.
