The trick is getting the grinds right (youll need a burr grinder) but when you do you will get the best cup of ameriano/latte youve ever had with relatively little effort. Simply awesome!

I received this yesterday and tested it empirically against regular drip coffee (same coffee grinds, same amount of water) with two other co-workers in a double-blind taste test. The results were unanimous, we all preferred the Aeropress! Everything from the aroma to the smoothness was improved using the Aeropress. We could definitely taste the acidity that regular drip coffee had, but with the Aeropress, the acidity was gone. However, the Aeropress coffee still remained rich and flavorful. I would highly recommend this product. It is fast and easy to use, and cleanup is very simple. Keep in mind that the Aeropress makes up to 4 shots of espresso-like coffee, and if you like regular strength coffee, you need to dilute it with hot water (Americano style). I have not made any lattes or capuccinos with this yet, but I bet they would turn out really tasty!

I have been the proud owner of an AeroPress for 6 months now and I love it! It makes far better coffee than almost every coffee making device I have ever owned (including french press, electric coffee maker, stove top moka pot and several others), requires no countertop space, and is very easy to use.

From expresso and lattes to regular coffee, I have been pleased with the results of this product and would recommend it without reservation.

For optimum convenience, add a Zojirushi hot water dispenser for the countertop and you can make 2 cups of coffee ready in under a minute. The Aeropress/Hot water heater has made coffee so quick and simple in the morning that I have stopped getting coffee out in the morning.

My AeroPress Coffee maker arrived a few days ago at 3:10PM and I was enjoying the best cup of coffee I have ever had by 3:20PM (includes opening the box, washing all parts for first-time use). Makng the coffee took less than one minute after the water had heated. Plus -- this really appeals to me -- the clean up time for the AeroPress parts was less than a minute after the coffee was made. Since then, I have really been "testing" my coffee maker. Every cup is the same (and it is great),,,,

I have a dear friend with MS who really enjoys his coffee, so today I ordered him one too. It is so easy to use, he can do it himself safely.

BOTTOM LINE: Fresh pure hot water, freshly ground coffee beans, and perfect brewing coonditions (for less than 1 minute) = GREAT COFFEE!!!! And it is free from that nasty "coffee acid" of super hot coffee makers (those to whom this matters to will understand why I mention it). Now you can truly enjoy your coffee.... Gordon (42club)

I purchased this item because I will often be traveling to places where good coffee is not readily available. The French Press was one solution for this. However, I dont like the sludge at the bottom of most french press coffees (which will usually happen if the grind is not perfect).

From the first cup made by the aeropress, I am a fan. It was a great tasting cup of coffee with no sludge. In spite of other reviews that claimed the press was difficult to use, I found it quite simple and self-explanatory. The best thing was clean up. Just a quick punch and rinse .... and its ready for the next cup. The press is sturdy, well-made and well-designed.

I highly recommend this product, particularly for those who are wanting to maintain their sovereignty over their coffee while on the road.
